Karl Vaughn is the President of Comprehensive Benefits Planning. Since founding the company in 1996, Karl has led with a clear vision: Service First. This guiding principle remains the foundation of the firm’s responsive, relationship-focused approach.

Karl began his career in life insurance sales with Prudential before joining a local Property & Casualty agency. There, he went on to establish and grow the employee benefits division at a prominent regional Property & Casualty brokerage agency. Drawing on this broad industry experience, he built Comprehensive Benefits Planning to grow alongside its clients while delivering the highest level of service.

Karl lives in Queenstown, Maryland, with his wife, Robin. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys spending time on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay perfecting his light tackle fishing skills. His greatest joy, however, comes from time spent with his five incredible and talented grandchildren: Hadley, Kamden, Colton, Grace, and Emery.
